Learning Objectives: 

  1. Describe how stress, schedule irregularities, and physical demands can influence hormonal balance in dental hygienists.

  2. Identify key hormones affected by work-related factors, including estrogen, progesterone, and cortisol.

  3. Recognize early signs of hormonal imbalance and its potential effects on health and performance.

  4. Implement practical strategies to support hormonal health, including lifestyle, nutrition, and self-care interventions.

  5. Apply evidence-based approaches to maintain well-being and resilience in the dental hygiene profession.

In the “Women’s Health & Hormones for the Hygienist” session, participants will explore how the physical, mental, and environmental demands of dental hygiene work can impact their own hormonal balance. The course highlights factors such as stress, schedules, and physical workload, while providing evidence-based strategies to support hormonal health, reduce burnout, and promote overall well-being. Attendees will leave with practical tools to protect their health while maintaining a sustainable clinical practice.
